    Job Description:
    Our Client is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Structural Engineer to support ongoing structural design projects. This position is fully remote and offers a flexible schedule, ideal for professionals managing multiple projects or clients.
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Provide structural calculations, drawings, and documentation for various building types.
    • Review and approve plans to ensure compliance with California Building Code and seismic requirements.
    • Collaborate with drafters and internal team members to coordinate project details.
    • Deliver efficient engineering solutions while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
    • Work on a project-by-project basis, with availability for approximately 10 hours per week.
    • Communicate project updates directly with the client as needed.
     
    Required Experience and Qualifications:
    • Active Structural Engineer (SE) or Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering design.
    • Strong knowledge of California Building Code and Title 24.
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD; ability to review Revit drawings is a plus.
    • Solid understanding of seismic and load analysis principles.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
     
    Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with both residential and commercial building projects.
    • Knowledge of local permitting and documentation processes.
    • Familiarity with collaboration tools and cloud-based document sharing.
     
    Personality:
    • Responsible, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
    • Proactive and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
    • Adaptable, reliable, and results-driven.
     
    Software & Tools:
    • AutoCAD
    • Structural design and analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS)
    • Revit (review only, not required for daily use)
    • Microsoft Office Suite
     
    Schedule:
    9-1 PST
     
    Salary and Benefits:
    • Part-time, fully remote position with flexible hours (approximately 10 hours per week).
